i'm about to have a business card printed with diagonal pixel lines on it.
will 1px thickness be sufficient for good result.
any guides on this?

the best guide is to make your own... in photoshop.. just start a new document (300 dpi)... zoom in alot, and make a few lines starting from 1px up to 6 pixels or more.
print!

I have a business card on my desk from someone at Habbo, and they have a cool pixel man sticker on the front. Each printed pixel square is about 1/2mm square, and the little bloke looks cool as hell.
Hope that helps.

Think outside the box (sic) and get yer rulers out. Printers dont work to pixels.

ok tanks for that. seems like the 1pt lines come out pretty good.

i go down as far as .25pt with lines and they come up nicely.
(nice and sharp)
but only with spot colours, never with a CMYK mix.1pt lines look pretty fat
