here's one way to make one out of your flash movies

thanx. anyone else?

you don't have to download anything to have an active desktop...just "browse" for one, and you can choose an html file with a flash movie in it - walla!

cool. but are there any size requirements etc... that are specific to a well made active desktop?
- bmehalo0
are they possible for osx users?

never tried it for osx...only windows.

...no size requirements that i know of..just keep your image/flash movie the same as your screen resolution and it should do fine...although it severely hogs your performance...

you can make any webpage a desktop item, you can even have multiple. for example, you can have your desktop divided into four squares going to live websites. or any pages or images locally.

yeah i read its a cpu killer, some site suggested keeping it to a 200x200 size, but its a bit small for us. wish i could supe up my osx desktop, like that. maybe use my desktop for quick updates on our site.

open display properties/desktop(tab)/customiz... desktop/web(tab)/
then put the sites you want in the list on the left, and check them. (you can save the page locally or link to live by adjusting properties.)

this can have unexpected results. esspecially with multiple monitors.

if you have more than one in your list it will make little iframe type windows. if you hold your cursor along the top it will give you normal window buttons and alow you to move it around.
