I hate losing pitches!
We pitched last week to redesign a financial services site - full CMS and everything - the design work I did on it was something (for once) that I was really really happy with.
Got really positive feedback from the meeting with them - our tech spec was solid.
Then they come back today and say that the company we were pitching against (their incumbent supplier) had undercut us.
Shit shit shit fuckit
Back to fucking rich media banners and html emails for me then

know how that feels! We have lost out in a couple of pitches in the last couple of weeks - it's so frustrating! No Xmas bonus this year!!!! bugger!

the amount of really cool projects we've lost. depressing.
thing is more often than not pitches are lost on cost. very rarely have we lost anything on design.

We lost so many pitches at my last place, they generally loved the designs (and occasionally ripped us off over them) and then got fucked off at our ridiculously high costings so thanks to our financial people the company went bust. Clever eh?

you guys have to check out the cv of elixir studio.... that boy (arnaud blablabla) says that he won almost every pitch during his working days at blastradius:

losing is tough, but it's part of the biz (blablabla) but never forget that a good idea can be sold to another client!
and man, it is so hard when they choose the ugliest version on a pitch, that happend to me as we mace www.youtrade.ch thanks god the site is down...
