As long as my clients are happy and I am getting paid, it is art to me!!!
Sometimes their is nothing to be constructive about and all you do is laugh at what is presented. Not everything is good and not everything is genius. Especially the posts over in the NTB.
It's not all about random vector shapes and retro fonts mixed with the pixel thing. Sometimes you have to actually be creative.

there is a photo on that site with a girl with a dildo hanging out smoking a cigarette on a bed. Now if I posted that in PV-AN or PBS and called it art and I had personally taken it, I would be at risk of being banned from NT. But because it was taken by some kook who has lived in manhattan in some heroin den perfecting his craft for 25 years, then it is art. I dont get it.

Its called fetish photography... And its art because he chose to operate in the art market. There has always been little to no distinction between art and porn. Look at various paintings of Venus, or work by Manet.

altho I do have a great deal of respect for mrdobolina, i like how he helps people around here, he contributes a lot and i see lots of positive energy flowing here from this PV-AN member, and I will not soon cease to believe mr.dobolina is a great and intelligent guy, so i have no doubts there, don't blame me for that.. yes, you are a hardcore ok mister,

thanks for the kind words 4cy, but I think I was misunderstood. A person can be trained to be a great photographer, while painters are born in my opinion. I dont want anyone to think that I was discounting photography as a valid artform. A painter can create from the mind, while a photographer needs something on the other side of the lens. That is the difference to me.

Some of it looks like trying to resemble a Sysley advert (bad taste lolita approach). Just my humble opinion (art nowadays seems to be whatever you may consider art) but it's just another work with that 'polaroid' look in bedrooms with tasteless wallpapers with/without wood planks. Problably another fan of Larry Clark.

Sorry, you're all wrong. Websters defines porn as, "Sexually explicit pictures, writing, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal." Since there is little that is sexually explicit, the whole argument is moot. Nudity does not equal pornography.
