This is really frustrating me. What are the hints and tips for using images(jpg and gifs) in flash.
Everytime i do it they distort and shift pixels.
I've seen sites that use humungous images at high quality in flash and they don't budge a pixel... they look perfect. When i try it, the shit hits the fan....
Here's an exmaple of a recent site i did...... the client doesn't mind it... But dang i can't stand it...

please help.

quick summary: put the image in 99% alpha instead of 100% to make the shift go away.

Nice site man! The 3D cube is cool without being obnoxious.
Photography wasn't doing it for me anyway - you're vector stuff and layout are really nice though.
And yes - PNG all the way when going into Flash. Then mess with your compression settings.

or do a search in pv-an or google would help too.
but if you put a 1px transparent border around the image that works...
or/and
making it a mc and setting the orientation to the bottom right works too.

PNGs distorts color slightly. I usually save as psd or pict and then import it, unless I need an alpha channel on the image.
