Anyone going to this? Should be dope. I'll be there... I went last year and was very impressed. The surprise guest was Iggy Pop with Pete Yorn on drums and Mike Watts on bass. Madness. This year, The Streets, Interpol, Bright Eyes, Damien Rice, Cat Power, and Black Keys all performing short sets! Check out the site. http://www.shortlistofmusic.com

I don't want to pay 45 bucks for an award show. But give me a free ticket and I'm there.
I am going to see a bunch of music videos at the Resfest -- http://www.resfest.com/losangele…

Sure it's about $40, but it's more than an awards show! At least 6 bands now doing short sets. Trust me, there's very little "awards" about it. There's about 10 minutes of awards at the very end. Great great bands. Resfest is Resfest. All Tomorrow's Parties will be even BETTER!!!!

the problem is that you get these artists that make one great album and the rest of their stuff for eternity SUCKS and then they get awards for it. It's a jokie joke.

No way JazX! Last year's winners were N.E.R.D. who also performed after DJ Shadow. The year before that, the winner was Sigur Ros who are still going strong these days.
I think the best part about this show is that people you respect in the music industry are picking albums that music fans actually appreciate and that aren't necessarily played on MTV, or MTV2 even.
It's the BEST of the REST!!!! I promise!!!
