anything from cnet, is, has and always will be messy, regardless if they have a clipping system or not.
I just can't stand it.

somehow they have managed to reduce all advertising on the homepage down to small text ads.
I agree they are always messy, and don't do much in the way of usability. But i never said it was a nice looking site.

oh, sorry, should've read your post more carefully. Well, the clipping feature as a concept is a very good idea, it's like bookmarks - only you have to come back to the site in order to view them again. Smart move!

never seen that before.
excellent for gathering research articles. pretty clever feature, it remembers you on the next visit also.

it definitely has novelty value.

What is this clipping system all about?
What is the difference?
Thanks

under each article they have a 'save' link which collects the article in the little drop down menu up the top of the page. Basically so you can scan the site for interesting articles, save them and then read them once you are done scanning.

That would be a GREAT concept if the site was better.
Good idea, but still looks weak.
