web logg is from what I figured, something that developers (researchers, game-developers) did back a few years ago: log their progress online, for anyone to see.
I guess it was a big hit in the gaming community back then, because lots of gamers were constantly connected and wanted to know when their favorite game would come out.
Now it's just sad
