I'm going for lunch in a minute and going to tower rec's for some music.. so what do I buy... could be some nice backgroundy BOC type, could be some nice bouncy J5 type hip hop (no shiznit shit pleease) could be the cure, who knows - recommend me NOW!

If you like minimal techno (a la plastikman), I've just bought Susumu Yokota's 'the boy and the tree' and think it's lovely - very backgroundy, very listenable-to and quite organic.
I have no idea what 'organic' means in this context, but hey - it makes it sound more interesting...

Try hip-hop compilation "Scratch - vol1". You'll know it's the right CD if it has "Snake Eyes" by Main Source as the first track. I only say that because there is a CD called "Scratch" which is the soundtrack to a film and whilst it's quite good, it's not as good as "Scratch - vol1."

a mixed bunch really, ended up buying the afore mentioned Quest album, an old Coldcut album and an old album by the Cure
I do like the sound of that 'scratch' album, anything with Main Source on it has to be ok, though it shoulda been 'lookin at the front door' really
