Pantone illus - quark

    I have an illustrator eps using pantone 281 C. I also have a colour defined in quark as 281 CV. When i import the eps into quark it gives me two different colours 281 and 281 CV. I cant get 281CV in illustrator and i dont know what the hell to do. Pleeease help me!

    OK, what you need to do is rename the colour in the Illustrator eps so it exactly matches the name of the file in Quark. (case sensitive) Don't worry the colour will be exactly the same when printing.
    Pantone 281 is pantone 281, nothing can change that, even though on screen things look different from app to app. Basic rule is that all colour names must be changed in either PS or Illustrator before bring into Quark when using spot colours.
