i am trying to start on a new brand mark for a client, and am trying to get some work done in Illy. All of a sudden out of the blue, my text palette (after tabbing all palettes out of view for a second) won't show...it's just gone. Ctrl + T and nothin'
tried restarting, and deactivating a bunch of fonts in ATM
any ideas...i really need that freakin' palette back

u on a mac? if so trash ur illi prefs and then restart

same thing works on a PC. not sure where they are tho. i think they are prf files.

don't have experience altering those files... where are they?
wonder what preferences are lumped together -
wouldn't want to change everything to default if i can avoid it

im pretty sure each program has its own prefs. im not much of a pc guy but i have a few at work and ive had to do the same thing for Preimier. it just resets your settings. you will ahve to go back and change you cursors and stuff. nothing major.
but finding them is the key here. try a search for .prf files.

not sure what else to try :(
