when you embed a video file in MX with sound, is there a way to fade the sound in when the video plays?..or does that need to be done with other software beforehand?...

I hope your using Sorenson Squeeze as well to decrease the super huge size of it, unless of course it for CD or something. This question was already brought up once I think. You can either set the audio in a seperate track/frameset or you can manipulate the video with an external editor like Vegas or Premiere or something.

unless of course you need to seperate the video from the audio from a prexisting closed video clip. is this the case?

i am bringing in a MPG4 for use on the web...yes, i am using sorenson to compress it...so you can seperate the audio from the video?..if i have the audio in a seperate frame, i then can fade it in....

yeah absoultely, you can if you can seperate the audio from the video which I am assuming you are able to. Fade the audio in and leave the video go or fade it in as well or slightly off.

so put your video on one track and then your audio in the other and then fade in your audio. Poof, that simple it should be. Don't worry about Flash yet, then import it into Flash after your done editing it in like Vegas Video or Premiere or whatever. :)

thanks for your help, but my real question is do you need an external program to fade the audio in of an MPG4?..i was wondering if you could import the video into flash and then fade in the audio with actionscript or something...sorry if i was unclear....

you can if you are using seperate audio and video tracks
