Help with flash code

  Hi,
  COuld some one help me translate some old flash code in to more current 'elegant' code:

  like:
  gotoAndStop [getProperty ["",_name]]

  and

  title = getProperty ["",_name] add "experiments"

  this.gotoAndStop(_name);
  title = [_name]+"experiments";
  }

  title is a variable name for a dyname text field,
  so wouldn't

  title = "experiments"; be enough?

  why do I have to add _name?

  I think
  title="experimets";
  might display the word experiments in the dynamic text

  I don't know about the gotoAndStop syntax;
