Please help.
I've got to spend today cutting out many small products for a website today (not one of the better jobs I've had here) but I'm having a mare.
Can anyone tell me why when I try using paths these days it insists on filling it in black? something about a 'shape vector mask'. Christ, if I wanted a mask I'd have made one! Can anyone help? I just want a clean simple path lik in the old dayzzzzz.

see the bar at the top, look over toward the right and there's a tick? click the tick and then look over to the left, make sure that the create new path is depressed and not the create new shape layer icon.
