Definitely change that font and welcome is spelled wrong. Just one "L".
Might change the background image a bit to contrast with the main area... make it darker or something.

who is your target market??
i would most definatly put somewhere on the frontpage a link to your work - more than likely people will know when coming to your site what you do, since the majority of your business won't be from some random person looking on google, and your portfolio will give them an overview of what you do...color scheme is awesome though.

I think now that it's 2003 you can safely loose the "navigation" "clue". The look is unique, and I like it for the most part. But, you might loose some of the visual noise. You've got a lot of arbitrary elements in this layout. It might help to simplify.
