Hello everyone. I'm new to Illustrator. I usualy use Corel to get my work done but I want to learn Adobe too but find it a bit dificult. I cannot make a curve from a straight line. Can anyone give me an advise ? PLS

Use the pen tool to create a new point on the line. Then make another point, off the your line with the pen tool, and drag your mouse to make the curve.
EZ

use the pen tool to make curves.
i used corel for a long time bc it was required at the last place i worked. it is shit compared to illustrator. come back from the dark side. use illustrator before it is too late.
(by Corel, i mean CorelDRAW, not painter)

the pen tool works on the bezier priciple of pull and push at the points.
did corel have a bezier tool of any sort? i cant imagine they're much different

corel draw does have features like that, the pen tool works the same, but modifying curves is a bit different. it doesnt follow the same sort of methods that damned near ALL other layout programs use.
the hotkeys and commands are completely different. it is a pain in the ass to go back and forth.
