I don't think true originators in any field like to follow the rules they 'should' follow.

oeuf, I'm not talking about print design so I think what you're saying has no relevance in this situation.
And with that argument...Photoshop ships with Imageready so you can create HTML pages with sliced up images but I think its a really bad way to go about creating a site. I don't use slices either.

sorry guys...wasn't trying to turn this into a debate or an us vs. them argument.
I just happened upon a new way of doing something that seemed to work well and was curious to know if anyone else worked this way.

And if need be you could copy and paste your vectors from Illustrator to Photoshop.

i think people should use whatever they want as long as they make kickass stuff.
This way: If you're good - use what you enjoy. If you suck - print screen 2A.

well we have some "designers" here that prefer corel photopaint to photoshop/fireworks/illy....
