yo yo, gee. What up.
Yeah, I would say cochin has some weight distribution issues. and also from their test page, the kerning needs some help as well. Maybe it lacks a little flava too.

Been out of touch for a while, as I am only connected through a crappy PC for the past 2 weeks and the next. The good news is, I have left my job, and move to Italy at the end of this week... SO excited.
How you?

Go crazy and use Baskerville instead of Eaves.
Live life on the edge.

If you're looking for an interesting type family - with a lot of personality - check Fairfield, from http://emigre.com
It looks great at text sizes - but it is very cool when LARGE and BLACK: http://www.emigre.com/dp/getfont…
Not to mention, there's narrow and wide sets, all with book, medium, bold and black.
The whole family: http://www.emigre.com/EF.php?fid…

That's Faiplex.
Not Fairfield. Which is totally different.

Eaves is based on Baskerville - but they are quite different.
Once I saw it on the Radiohead cover I knew it was time to move on... Its rough - great typeface.
That's one of the problems with Emigre - their stuff is fantastic, but it always looks like Emigre fonts. I like type treatment to stand out over "name that face" syndrome.

Type design by graphic designers.
Produces interesting work. It's more about the immediacy. Make it look good now. Who cares about 150 years from now.

Well, don't get me wrong - Emigre's typefaces are outstanding! They are works of art. From a conservative standpoint they are difficult to use. Mainly due to the fact that they are so recognizable and familiar. Zuzana Licko is a fantastic designer. Typefaces can get a little trendy - like you said - there is a reason that classics are around for as long as they are.
The "invisible" design factor...

hmm i was thinking maybe fairplex (wide black) but i thougth it was maybe a little too masculine... i will try it ;)

You have to see it in print.
I highly recommend picking up the new Emigre mag/book. #65.
It's great.
