the best thing to do is to stay away from all of photoshop's built in styles and most of the filters for at least the first 8 years of using photoshop.

Simply Brilliant!
That drop shadow effect is really really cooool. Makes the logo "pop" right off the screen! I think you should do that for EVERY logo from now on. Also, try to make it spin if you can. Great job.
I'm drunk.

I actually like it:-)
Its a nice application example of ps effects. Good choice of colors and font.

never make a logo in photoshop. Use Illustrator.
- brooke0
It's probably a good idea to create your logo in Illustrator (or any other vector app) & to only add special effects when put into context. Will you be adding a symbol to represent what you do? -Or are you sticking to just a type-based logo? ...in which case, you should pick a more distinguished font & manipulate it to add your own personal touch.
Don't take any shit, Adnan.

I guess I should've taken on the old addage ' if ya ain't got nothin' nice to say.. don't say it at all - and don't do drugs'...
... the honest truth is that the logo is really amature - and not only people like NT'ers would tell you this.
... you can use illustrator - photoshop.. whatever you want... a bad logo is going to be a bad logo. (of course making anything vector is always smarter)
DO SOME RESEARCH! RESEARCH LIKE CRAZY - LOOK AT WHAT'S OUT THERE... STEP BACK AND LOOK AT SOME OF THE GREAT LOGOS OUT THERE --
... then simplify...... my employer will not allow his designers to present to a client until we've done at least 200 hundred logos in house...
... I ripped your first attempt - because it's horridly amature ---I'm not going to be nice and sugar-coat and give you hug and say ' there there, use illustrator'.... nah.. screw that...
RESEARCH... MAKE BUNCHES OF VERSIONS... then come back and present.
