I posted about this problem at the beginning of the week but I still can't get my head around it.
My problem is I need to be able to do a pop up window from an .exe file. I am doing a CD Rom in flash. I need to know how to call upon some JavaScript that makes a pop up window. What would be the action script for this. Or is there another way of doing it? I need a pop up window for a swf file which shows a demo of some kind of software. I do not have the .fla file for these demos.
I hope I have explained myself properly.
My deadline is today and I'm a bit desperate. Any help would be very much appreciated.

you can't do it from an .exe - you have to have the flash embedded in an html page - with the jscript for the pop-up in the source - and then call the function from flash with the gerURL function....

if all you want to do is popup an swf, use loadmovie and have it load directly over the top of your original movie, then just put a 'close wondow' button on the new movie. hope that helps.

mrdobolina, I have tried that but when I loadmovie the swf that has loaded full screens and you can't get back to the original screen because I think it takes the original movies values (I don't have the .fla to tinker with it). I have tried it in a movie clip but I can't get that to work either. Any suggestions with that problem???

what if you use 'get url' pointing at an xyz.exe file that contains your pop-up content....

Have you solved your problem? Otherwise i suggest that you turn to Macromedias forums. There´s some guys over there that really kicks when it comes to flashprobs...

Just to let those who have help me that I have managed to solve my problem with the Loadmovie unloadmovie actionscript in the end. Much thanks to everyone who have helped in the last week.
