a snowboarder would just air that shit... but hey man I respect skiers. they have sick moves. they just need to upgrade their clothing style from gay to... you know, cool or something... maybe they just need to drop the tight flourescent pink spandex... the guys that is.. the girls are AOK.

What people should be focusing on are the motives of these people to be engaged in these types of sports. There's a movement going on, it's focusing on the art in sports. The ability of the sport to be expressive.

lila...i aint trying to defend skiers...i ride, been doing so for about 15 years now.
skiing has progressed more than you would believe in the last 2 years...without a boubt skiers are killing snowboarders for the amount of air they're getting in the pipe...its sick. i did a shoot at the end of the season up in the blackcomb park...80' table with like a fuckin 18' cheese wedge take off...guys like cr. johnson and chris turpin were killing it...not one snowboarder hit it up that day...we're talking names like shin campos, kevin sansalone, dcp...no chumps.
the clothing is changing too...companies like orage are pushing it...what pisses me off is seeing some skier wearing some like 686 pants or sumthin...thats shred wear only!

a couple weeks back I was walking home from the heath and I walked past this kid (14,15 yr old) trying to ollie off the sidewalk.
He would bail, fall, get up, pick his board up, and try again. For 10 mins he tried and I watched, until he finally landed it, and when he did he ran down the street with his arms pumping the air.
That's some powerful shit right there. If old Dubya had ever picked up a board instead of snorting coke and crashing his cars....well....

I never doubted skiers skills man, I give them respect. it was just the fashions... but I love seeing them hot ass ski bunnies comin down the slope, I pull up quick to get wid'm!
