why are yawns contagious? anyone...anyone??
- Bio0
it's a demon that comes out of one person and then makes another person open their mouth so it can go into another person.

It's a human herd reaction. Unconsciously humans react to yawns as form of social synchronization. Humans adapt to each others sleep patterns, activity patterns and even menstrual cycles.

I just read about a correlation between depression (serotonin reuptake) in males and the menstrual cycle of their mothers.

It's fascinating to me. Got any information related to it?
- ER0

When I feel like someone is staring at me - I fake a big yawn.
Then I turn around and stare at them while they yawn.

Apparently if someone yawns very near you it's because they need an larger intake of oxygen and so if you are in close proximity of them you're sharing the similar dense air and so you yawn also for the same reason to get a big intake of oxygen or some shit like that. As for if you see them on TV or something and do it I have no idea, monkey yawn, mokey do??
- unknown0
thats it then, next time I'm on the train I'm gonna do a big fart and then yawn - really ruin someones day.
