beautiful picture of the vineyard, the surroundings are amazing, J.
jg_2, did Napalm Death played their cover of Dead Kennedy's "Nazi Punks F*ck Off"? I swear the drummer almost broke his wrist playing that one...

unfittoprint, yeah man you have to have some too from your trips to Africa no? Stellenbosch is literally makes me think of the 'Garden of Eden'. That garden route is spectacular.

I have been once in the continent and it was its North Africa. I'm already familiar with some of it due to close family and friends that live or travel there quite often. But if all goes well, I'll be checking Luanda later this year or early 2004.
Who knows? I know a lot of people that are moving there (and Mozambique), the economy is getting better and more stable, and it's much more secure to live there nowadays... But it's time for unfit to move!
And those women, Nature's divine creation...

ohh man, all I can say is DO IT. I've only once been in Portugal, I can say it was beautiful, but not like Africa. it's so underappreciated by the rest of the world. You will 100% aboslutely love the culture people and 'layed'-back lifestyle. Emphasis and 'layed'! ;) Soooo much fun! Plus you have a leg up in that you speak fluent Portuguese, even though Mocambique and Angola it's more of a creole-style thing. But you would get it all. ;)

My father and friends when they talk about Angola, the landscape, driving 500km in 'savana', with tears almost in their eyes. A connection to the land that is hard to describe... Even those that have been in the War are returning there. As they say to me 'you'll have to go to understand it'...
As I get older, there are things in life that one learn to appreciate more. That would definetely be one of those things.

absolutely, it's something you cannot describe with words, that pic I sent is nothing compared to the Jungles and Savannahs throughout that area.
