Number three is a good start.
I'd be careful with the overlap of symbol and text, at smaller sizes and especially in print it might look disasterous.
How about moving the paint swipe and roller below the text and keep the swipe as a solid rectangle rather than a curve...with the roller to the right. I'd revisit the colour pink, maybe a red or dark blue(?). Typography wise, maybe mix it up, bold sans serif for the majority of the text but keep the ampersand in the typeface you've used(?).
You're going in the right direction, you just need to tighten the design.

i like your 'tude kid, go with the 3!
the others look a tad like some multi-color weenie roast or what ever my yankee compadres get up to on a school nite!
- jox0
hahaha I was gonna say "why the hell are you giving yourself advice??" and then I saw JAM / MAN.

Is the roller a "must-have" I don't think it reads too well. Maybe you could try to combine their services together with a new icon. Something a little more clever.
- Blueman0
shit .. yeah i kinda see that carver.. It was supposed to look like a roller and a "R" at the same time. I don't know about the colours i just picked some.
- Blueman0
No the roller isn't a must-have. Nothing is. He doesn't have a logo or anything now.
Ok Icon sounds good. What do you see mimio when you read their supper long company name.
- Blueman0
ohh and he definatly doesn't want a guy on a ladder painting or anything like that.

It took me too long to know that the brush was a brush. Maybe make it not look so much like a Hot Dog and more like something that doesn't bend. I like the paint stretching effect though.
- Mimio0
Yeah or maybe hybridize the brush/roller thing with something domestic. Or find a clever way to synthesize the brush and the hone together.
I love when people start new companies that have really long names. Maybe you can find a way to make it memorable for them.

I didn't change the brush but i think that it is more visable now. I want it to look a little dynamic like .. fast and reliable kind of thing. I don't want it to look boring.

much better!

yeah its cool now
- Blueman0
cool... .. but which one? 4 or 5 .. well if both of them work I will show both to the client. What do you think about the colour?
- unknown0
#3 is cool.
- Blueman0
Thanks TR.. I like what you did too. I was thinking of doing something like that. I like the paint effect and i wanted to do that too but then i thought that it might be hard to reproduce.. like do vinyl or other shit like that.
Stacking it takes up a lot of room too..
hmm.. As for my kerning I thought that i did a pretty good job .. hmm maybe not. I will take a second look at it.
- jpolk0
redraw or lose the roller. it looks really amateurish.
- TResudek0
Do you have an AI version of the logo? I want to make kerning fixes and send it to you to see if you agree of disagree. Nothing major.
If so, email me:
