Are baseball bats allowed?
- ********0
ouch~

i suppose one could use the bat as an edge for pressing, but we have tools for that. failing that an advance level of pelting would certainly allow you to create your own baseball gloves, as i said before i have made a golf bag and a 17th century bustier for my ex-wife. attaching the bone corsetry mechansim at the rear was difficult, i have just enrolled in a yahoo group of fellow 'pelters'. they are thin on the ground, but i forecast, possibly in a years time numbers will be threefold!

I'd love to see some photos of you pelting away carver, I bet you must beat your leather really hard to get it nice and supply ready for manipulation.

the yahoo group has now grown to 16! 16 pelters in western europe and one from uruguay. that's some where in america seemingly....so, yeah, six of us are neeting up in a prague at new year. lot of pelting in prague! daft eh! i made a leather petrol can holder , took me six week!!

Pelt on!

I'd like to pelt myself a nice leather helmet, something for the winter you know, maybe it could have tassles hanging down which would lend it a certain jester type feel, I think that way I would get more use of it as I could wear it as I attend folk festivals and garden fétes during the summer months. Almost medeival!

I want a cheese helmet.
- rasko40
ask derek, he's full of cheese and takes it up the arse apparently

i probably knew i could rely on ya rask, i think you perhaps have a penchant for the pelting anyway. i say this due to your near punctual replies to the pelting post! i was digging out some old patterns(like knitting patterns or point-to-point needlework) in a junk shop, and i found a leather helmet! it's for playing rugby league in of course, and they were all the rage back in the day. but i reckon if i was to re-create it (or re-pelt) with a contemporary spin, furry inlay, velcro, D-rings etc, we might have a little cosy helmet for rasko's christmas!
- rasko40
that sounds fandabydozy, I can picture my little self wearing it as I sit on my rocking chair infront of an open fire swilling eggnog and eating tangerines and hazelnuts!
- carver0
why rask, i reckon you could even carry your 84kg turkey home in the fucker on cruel christmas eve morn! nothing like the sensation of a helmet covered in giblets!

fnarr fnarr!!
