I'd say Dragonball is better than Dragonball Z. I was addicted to both of them about 8 years ago. I think you have to remember how old this show really is, and how cool it was when it first came out. Cause it was. And now it's hot because it's new to a fresher generation. And the timing isn't so attuned to American, fast paced attention spans. The fight scenes can have those dramatic pauses for eternities!

I hate that crap. I wonder where the wonderful (and not criminally insane) animation went...
You know, stuff with a storyline made by non-induced LSD minds, without megapowers, pink dragons, extreme slow motion ass kicking...Oh, the memories.....

each month my mom buys the Dragonballcomic for me.
the drawings are so clean and feel so right. It's really funny, great characters and good story.
I totally fell in love with it.

Id like to check out the comic. Is it black and white? There used to be a place on the cartoon network site where you could watch like 80 episodes of it but I'm having trouble finding it right now.

dbz owns. I love it. The onyl thing that annoys me sometimes is having to wait up to 10 episodes for "the big" fight scene to finish. SS's r so cool, their hair is the bomb. Seen gokou go SSJ3? Holy shit!

used to watch it. it can be amusing, but is too slow for me to get into. half of every episode s is just the characters talkin bout how they're about to kick someone's ass and the specific way they are gonna do it and then the other character telling the other person that it wont work bc they are superDOOPER as opposed to just being super.
i think the animation is quite nice at times. actually if you guys ever got into chronotrigger or chronocross, then you'll notice the characters are quite similar to the DB characters. same guy did the designs for both. =) pretty niftiliscious.

wich I love, colors can make a good drawing ugly.so true about the fights, Retro, It's hard to wait to see the finale.
Bio, forget about the animation, go buy a dragonball( cheap!) and enjoy it( I always feel like 10 years old when I am reading it, exciting and witful written.

the animated series is waaaaaaay to slow than the comic, where at least when you get bored you can skip pages.
Also, the italian dubbing was terrible.

Yeah great show....watching someone power up for two episodes can be a drag but back then it was heightened suspense for me and i would run home to watch it anyway.
Anyway I am kinda bias...anything that doesnt have real people rocks!
