I use 'Tegrity' from http://www.tegrity.com and I combine Video with Powerpoint for Distance Learning. I think they have some links there or you might want to check up on what http://www.sonicfoundry.com is up to, but of course they got bought by Sony for $19 Million. Also, Macromedia's Breeze is quite nifty as well. It allows you to work with Powerpoint and Flash in one console/player.

the project is a e-learning portal for laboratory employees, wich must follow many certificate processes.
it wil be web based (html + flash + sql)

check out http://www.elementk.com They rebrand a lot of their stuff for other sites. Lots of creative apps to learn about too. If you call them up and tell them your considering it for your companies learning you'll get a demo account that gives you all the goodies for a week or so. ;)
