http://www.dafont.com might have it if I remember correctly.

avant garde, or you could try 'plain cred'
- gradiate0
It is avant garde alternate. The straight avant garde has non slopping A's and V's etc.

...and it's cropping up everywhere at the moment... so beware : )

yeh... but you've managed to get something out there already ...which is cool
- unknown0
gradiate, is your logo there intentionally similar to millfilm?
- unknown0
millfilm is no more... but i'll give you mill :)
- unknown0
looks a lot different to me.
- unknown0
I'm not bitching here but you cant see some similarity (oviously the letters are different)
bearing in mind that millfilm was the same with 'film' in the same style as you know.
I'd say that was rather similar.

there is a mullered brockman book with a logo in it which is very similar.. and if you look at some of wim crouwels system typefaces you'll find a lot of influence there...

Thanks 4cy - very helpfulo article, make me truly appreciate it. Like the interstate one to, have used that before, funnily enough on a Volvo job.

Well yeah they look a like. Its based on my tag back from uni days so the mill logo wasnt around then. It was drawn with a fat tip black marker. I made it all graphic a while back. Im not saying its unique but i didnt copy it. Youve only got my word for it unless you want some jpegs of said tag. simlilarities in work doesnt really worry me that much it has to be said. With the spread of the net and the amount of the designers out there its just going to keep happening.

note: none of this is in a pissed off voice. And yeah the mill logo is lovely, who designed it? madethought?
