  Any recomendations on a reasonably priced (between 200-400 dollars US) scanner that can get good color depth?

  I have tons of photos that are beautifully developed and the cheap scanners just don't do them justice. Yet, I can't have them drum scanned because of the inconvenience and cost.

  You arent scanning prints are you? Scan the negs/slides if you want quality.
