Me too.
Their first album is hands down the best of all the albums that came out under the guise of the "new rock revolution" as NME coined it (bands like The Strokes, The Datsuns, D4, The Vines, The Libertines, Burning Brides, etc...)
Excellent cd and they all look like the right people for their music. They look like they'd just say, "Let us do our thing, let us drink alot, and just listen to it."
Saw their tour rider listed in Q, hilarious, as follows as accuratly as possible:
2 cases of Stella
Several bottles of good red wine
2 bottles of Jack Daniels
and then something as simple as saying "gas station sandwiches"I'm not kidding you. I need go to back through my months of Q to see if I can find it.

Yeah - they've brought that sweet Jesus and Mary Chain drone and buzz sound back to life. Great stuff. Anyone know how they're connected to the Brain Jonestown Massacre?

I saw them play over a year ago. Its so great to see a return of the rock. No more of this wanna-be rap-rock, synth-rock, shit!

Jesus and Mary Chain-
I used to blast Psychocandy while I was riding my backyard halfpipe, I think I was in 5th grade, late 80s.

They pretty much laid the ground for BRMC.. the dark cloths, smoke machines ,drawn out lyrics, repeatative super fuzzed out guitars... beautiful. Psychocandy is an absolute classic.
