Damn. It all goes so fast. So many people surround me with cancer, life support, brain tumors. yuk. life is short and I never signed up for some "game" that would attach me emotionally to people that I grow to love and then without any true notice take them away from me. How are we supposed to cope?

yeah that's the crazy part of life
- crapmeister0
try to make the best out of it and never forgetting your beloved ones who have passed.
- JazX0
then again don't take it too serious, in reality, you come in alone and go out alone and everything that happens in between is I mean what really? kinda' sad actually. Glorified monkeys, at least I know I am.

It just sucks when you think that there *will* come a time when it will end and that will be it. It wont even be when you are "finished" instead it will just stop and end for you or for someone you love.
- JazX0
yeah it's crazy and it's a speck of dust in comparison to time itself
- JazX0
at least us artists leave something behind, so to speak

unless space aliens turn up with the secret to eternal life or something... hang in there.

actually, artists may leave something behind...but so what? in less than a million years, the sun will have grown into a red giant, throwing the orbits of all its planets into chaos. if that doesn't do us all in, then the supernova (explosion) afterward will (it will completely eradicate all of the planets in our solar system and any evidence of mankind ever having existed whatsoever).
so, yeah. don't get too attached, people. have fun, get fucked up, enjoy it while you can. before you know it we'll all be in the ground with all of our loved ones.

yeah that's true too, one day the Earth will blow up from either meteoric asteroid impact or the Sun will burn out, either way Humankind is bigtime doomed. Stick with NASA it's our best friend ;)

made to break....can't stop the flow, but you will "know" when the time comes
- JazX0
lol, well anyway we all will be LONG gone when that happens.

i feel ya. i am plagued with overwhelming feelings of mortality.
i no longer drive fast and i am more careful in everything i do. . . besides drinking (which will probably kill me in the end anyway).
as an atheist, i believe that when we die, we are simply no more. our essence goes to our surroundings and our synaptic energy disperses and is used by whatever living thing is near. nothin spirritual or supernatural about it.
the idea that there will be no more "me" is almost enough to frighten me back to religion, but i refuse to lie to myself.sometimes i am at peace with idea that all things end, but most of the times, it just scares the shit outta me. but i guess i wont know the difference. i love nature, so i guess in the end it gives me comfort to know that part of me will be used in other life like plants and animals.
i live only by one rule really:
in a hundred years, you and everyone you ever knew or who knew you will be dead and no one will have known the difference.
which may seem depressing, but it is really a very liberating thought. so to quote Mal quoting Crowley, "Do as thou wilst and that shall be the whole of the law."=)

in a hundred years, you and everyone you ever knew or who knew you will be dead and no one will have known the difference.there.

"What is the meaning of life? Well I think it's supposed to be fun."
Carl Sagans answer to my GF's question about the meaning of our existance.
Enjoy yourself.
