I was wondering if anybody knows how to link a PC laptop and a mac laptop together, tried to use a Network cable plugged into both, but it did not seem to work. I probably have to do something else, I just don’t know what?

make sure its a twisted cable not a straight one like you'd use with a router.

late model Macs can work with either cable type... (so there)
