Talked to Ants Today!

OK--its hot and the ants were swarming in the kitchen. I felt bad to kill them all but I can't be having an ant party in my kitchen. First I was just observing individual ants to see what they were up to, and I figured out they must be talking to each other. Then I started to yell at them--"DIE DIE DIE" and they freaked out! It totally worked. Not that I killed them with my voice, but they got it and got scared and went home. yeah!

Don't really love ants but I feel bad to commit ant genocide. Once I met a girl who told me she talked to ants and that they were interested in architecture. Makes sense to me.

I used to kill ants for recreation as a child. It was sick. I'd eradicate whole colonies. I feel bad now.
but dude, just get a spider... it'll take care of those ants. Set up your spider in a nice dark corner. Let him make his web. Then capture an ant, cripple him and leave him close to the web. The other ants will come and try to rescue him and then the spider will go to work. It's cool. This is what I do in my spare time. I don't have cable television...

I spent a whole evening once (on flying ant night) when I was a kid feeding big fat flying ants to my goldfish in the pond - they loved it, one of them actually died, I think due to overfeeding.

and what is it with flying ant night they're damn well organised - its kinda like flash mobbing in an ant type way!!

i saw something on national geo. about ants called "siafu" that chew little holes into your skin, and then crawl inside to eat you from the inside out.
definitely not a good thing.
