a question for you mates,
how am i to go about doing type which is aliased in flash?
i've tried making dynamic/input text, but i somehow guess theres a better way.. sometimes anti-aliased text in flash just looks horendous.thnx

Use any pixel font and make sure all your text elements are on exact pixels in flash (ie. their x/y position is at 10,35 - not 10.2,35.7)

you could also use one of the three device fonts.
_sans
_serif
_typewriterthese look different on various systems though
ofcourse you should download this pixelfont I prepared earlier : )

thanks for the font, boeser! It looks good - but bingo_7 looks is aliasing on your sample page.
Another option is to bring your text in as a .gif or png, if there's not too much text.

Use any of the standard fonts like Verdana or Georgia or Arial and then check the "Use Device Fonts" checkbox when using static font box in flash. Makes it pixel version.

nuggler, hmmm part of the regular text went wrong, I'll have to check it out.
thanx.
using the device font option on any of those standard fonts works very nice indeed! The don't show up aliased but the do look really sharp, nice.

The problem with small type looking blurry in Flash may be a thing of the past. MX 2004 is supposed to fix it -
