I am going back to school to finsih my degree in Advertising Designa nd Communications. What are your thoughts on these schools?
Which one do you think is better? I am going to be taking night classes (i work fulltime) and I know most of the teachers at SVA at night are actively working in the field as well. Dont really know about FIT.
Thoughts?

I went to both SVA and FIT for photography. The teachers were better at SVA, but the tuition was very high. FIT is a great value economically, but SVA has the better resources.

This has been debated many times here. Search for other threads for more opinions.
Basically...
if you got cash: SVA.
If you don't :FIT.

DON'T THEY HAVE scholarships? Just curious. I looked into SVA too. My old CD said that's the best school to go to.

if you can get financial aid or scholarships - Parsons! They have an incredible program for that with incredible teachers and classes

I went to SVA- & For Advertising Design and Communications, the School of Visual Arts is the way to go.
F.I.T. is a good school but not nec. for Advertising and comm. arts-
If you want to get into fashion design and merchandising- FIT is a great school- w/ respected alumni such as Calvin Klein-and so on + it appears that FIT spends most of their budget and resources in the fashion depts.just my 2 cents. good luck.
