I hate font smoothing

  get used to it!
  I had my reservations about it in the beginning too -- but it grows on you. And (this is more Safari related) if you use the appropriate font/size - it can look really nice.

  i don't like it either, but it's easy to disable. i think font smoothing will be more appropriate when everyone is running extremely high resolution monitors (to hide the blurriness). until then, i still prefer pixel based fonts.
