I am negotiating an exchange (for a mountain bike....still), and I"ve got another guy claiming to have a $4k bike that he'll sell for $1400. It's the 4th time or so that I've had this 'opportunity', only difference is (I usually ask enough questions that they can't answer) is this guy wants to use an escrow service.
Here is the one he wants to use:http://www.transactions4all.com
Anyone heard of these guys or use them?
Thanks

I'm happy to act as an escrow service for you, just paypal me the cash using my email addie and that'll do fine.

If he's suggesting the escrow company, I would be suspicious. Just use ebays escrow. It damn cheap and safe. I hear lots of horror stories bout escrow scams. so be careful.

Check this out: From the whois on transactions4all.com
Record expires on 07-Aug-2004.
Record created on 07-Aug-2003If they were real I think they would have bought the domain for more then a year. Besides that site has only been up for like 10 days.
Stay Away and call the FBI, maybe you can get a reward.

You're a genius!
These punks are always selling the same bike, for the same amount. I've reported them to ebay before and only get a 'not enough evidence' reply. I guess they must deal with a thousand a minute.
Great idea to check the domain, didn't even cross my mind. I called information (no listing, of course).
I'll try to call the FBI.
Thanks.
