I've never been to Birmingham because I have always held the firm belief that it is shit.
This logo (sorry.. BRANDING) is not helping change my mind. It too is shit.

I used to work in Birmingham, in telesales, it was really shit.

surely telesales anywhere is bad, and quite frankly they deserve it.

in my belief, Birmingham is a kind of void to those who dont live there - one can only pass through it via M-Way and the only thing you actually know about Birmingham is the NEC and the name New Street station.
And of course that people speak funny and have a genuine affinity with shell suits, hair spray and pies.

I have a sneaking suspicion that there is a large underground subculture of cock-fighting in the basements of Birmingham pubs.

Considering branding was originally for preventing cows and sheep mingling with other herds, I think this is a worthy step forward.

apparently the brummie accent is the most unemployable accent there is, though it may be second to scouse.

Oh, forgot to pipe in - "WHICH CRETINOUS TWAT DECIDED TO BRAND A CITY?! WHERE DO WE DRAW THE FUCKING LINE?! - BRAND THIS!! (sticks finger up)"
Sorry.

no worries, just a few more PR articles, and Birmingham is gonna become overcrowded.
=)"And with an image as powerful as the one above, who can doubt they will be successful in their quest?"

Personally, I feel we need to spread word of this wondrous event. Visit http://www.birmingham.org.uk/int… and send a postcard without ever needing to go near the place.

"The values reflect Birmingham's diversity and present it as dynamic and human," it espouses. And here was us thinking that it was the word 'Birmingham' squeezed into a lower-case 'b' with a short-stem. "
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahah...
