Doing a personal site is like doing a design for your life so far. So one it's far to difficult, and two, can I really be bothered to bore anyone with it... Do you really want to see a photo of me on top of the world trade center? I thought not.

yep... walk around a really run down city in europe taking pictures of the way people live so you can put it on your website so people know you know about design, and 'the vernacular'

wow. It's refreshing to hear ya'll say that you're often too tired to work on personal sites. I was beginning to think that NT was populated by vampires and super heros who never sleep or rest.
I'm going freelance by November and am a little scared but relieved too because I"m wiped out by the 9-5 rut. Glad I can pay bills but getting burned out.
I work on freelance projects alot and that has worked for awhile but I'm getting burned out, worn out. It gets harder to think creatively at work (feeling like there is very little value in the work I'm doing there doesn't help).
...and my personal site...feel like I've been working on that forever. I step away from it for awhile and when I come back, hate it and take 3 steps back.
Whine..whine...whine...poor designers! :)
