prices and opinions about mini dv cams (1ccd)? sony, panasonic or canon?
although i know the canon gl and xl are pretty popular, i just can't afford a 3ccd cam.
budget is around $1000 / €1000, max.= €1200.
remember, i'm just a poor art student.

I got the sony pc120 a few months ago and love it. Am going to get me a nice wide angle for it soon...
The image quality is fantastic for something so small and it is super lightweight.
Only prob I have with it is the speed of the zoom (way too fast).

yeah or maybe try and get a rental if you need it for a short time or use a local universities. uhhh ;)

the GL2 is around $1500 and XL1 around $3k...
so unless you got the $$$$ fergetaboutet
I have the GS70 and so far it's okay...not as good as the GL2 in low light situations but does a great job.
cheapest 3CCD out there today.

if you really want to get into video/film, then just hire and borrow for now whilst saving for a 3ccd.
