how do i get text on the inside of a path? i have a circle and need text wrapped with the letter's ascenders facing the center point of circle. i.e not fully 360 degrees wrapped? do i make any sense at all?

in the tool menu - choose the arrow on the right and click on the circle in the area where the text starts and when you see the blue"I" - grab it and drag it to the inside of the circle

control T, it's in the first pallete under> show options>baseline shift? yes no?

baseline shift is just offsetting text from the path. i need a line of text to read left to right on the lower arc of the circle. hmm. lemme try to dig up an example. thank u though, any other takers?

once your text is in the circle - literally click and drag from the inner line to the outer line of the circle with that thing that shows you where your type starts - the use baseline shift to offset it from the circle - EASY!!
Does that help??
Let me know
Karlo
If not, I can do it for you and email a file - let me know
