My first songs in Reason was made with an oooold Akai 1989like analogue and worked fine in Reason.

You guys are so right, so easy to make nice sounding music today. I tell you, blackspade, 'LIVE' is incredible no? Even though I have an AKAI MPC XL2000 as well, but your right, this thing makes it obsolete. It's our dirty little secret from Germany. ;)

yea its so much fun, I am struggling a bit with Reason but slowly working through it, but yea loving Live so far!

with Reason you just have to think about it a bit differently. It's easy once you get the hang of it. Are you able to at least create instruments and put the MATRIX below them and then just randomly use your mouse to paint in notes into it? After you do this then put some of the effects modules below it, such as Reverb or Delay and tweak the knobs.

I've bought this controller for Reason and Live: http://www.evolution.co.uk/morei…

im not even that far into it yet, plus Ive only got the demo for Reason :( so mostly playing in Live.
Question.. what is the best way to get drum samples?, are there any sample CD librarys you would reccomend, I need some hiphop style beats, snares etc. The few drum samples I have are limiting what I can do.

even this will work well, a buddy of mine has it and I've F'ed with it, nice control: http://www.evolution.co.uk/morei…

I have tons of them on Loopkit Pro v1.0 at http://www.loopkit.com on CD I sell, there are only a few different ones that I've created there. I think we have about 350 of them on the CD though. Trip-Hop/Hip-Hop. Mostly created with an AKAI sampler and Reason.

ohhh ok, I know that B and H store in NYC. I used to work on 7th Ave very close to it. Your set-up seems to be nice so far man. :)

back to the orginal post: http://www.evolution.co.uk/morei… if you get a full-length keyboard it allows you to not have to swtich Octaves in real-time.

Cool JazX, how much for it ?

I've found what iam looking for !
http://www.evolution.co.uk/morei…
Only the keynotes, thats it! This is what I wanted!
- benfal990
Do you know any other synth that have only the keynotes on it like this one: http://www.evolution.co.uk/morei…
??? Something under 100$ ?? Is it possible ??

yeah there are a few, actually, the best resource that I have found for this is Computer Music UK Magazine, but also exits online, they should have something on this stuff. For sure there are other small kynote, only keyboards and ones where you can switch Octaves as well. Check: http://www.computermusic.co.uk easy the best Mag on music out for computer music production. BTW, they are supposed to be reviewing my Loop CD soon. ;)

http://www.computermusic.co.uk/r… that isn't bad but it might be more than what you are looking for more like: http://www.computermusic.co.uk/r… I've used the Roland PC-180 for a while and it rocks. I think I paid $100 US even for it.

Dis' a little bad-ass ditty here: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/s… but again go with something from Edirol in general such as the Roland PC-180.
- unknown0
can you use the
Evolution UC-33 and Edirol PCR-30
together??
that would murder it all
- benfal990
thanks for all those hints JazX ! very cool
