any views on this?
http://www.gardenrecordings.com/…A mockup in a very early stage, I've only checked it in IE so far...

when i open it in ie each section is broken apart. or at least it looks that way. there is a gap between each horizontal bar. if it's supposed to be there make it look more like a designed break then an html error.
a little cleaning up and i think it will be on the right track.

Skönt ren, enkel och snygg. Bra jobbat.

tack/thanks. K0na, it's supposed to look that way. There is a small drop shadow below each "box" but maybe it's too subtle.
- unknown0
is not too subtle, look more like a mistake. if you make it more evident it will not look like a mistake anymore...

does anyone else think this looks broken?
( http://www.gardenrecordings.com/… )Thank you / Have a nice friday!
- jox0
actually, yes it does. maybe you could just print screen it and cut / paste together the "broken" parts and re-post to see if it looks better?
Oh and one more thing, I'd kinda like välkommen with a big V :) But that's just me!
Annars mycket vackert, gillar färgerna och menyn skarpt. Gjorde du loggan också?

#1 looks great.

#1 (without the breaks looks better)
Also, why is the scroll bar in a non-standard place?? it should be all the way over on the left of the screen. there's no reason for it to be moved in.

I prefer the broken one but I think the sublty of the shadow and the heavy bg colour is whats the problem. maybe play with the bgcolour and add more definition to the 'broken' parts.
What I dont like is the scrollbar. frames bad.
- lnu0
Why does everyon dislike frames that much (I also have a build in feeling of not wanting to use them)? And what is the best way to center content IYO without using frames.
- lowimpakt0
my problem with frames here is the postioning of the scrollbar. it looks stupid.
other problems with frames is search engine indexing and stuff like dat..
- davetufts0
i don't have a problem with frames in general. Newstoday takes advantage of frames - the benefit being multiple frames of content all accesible without at the same time.
On your site, there is absolulte no benefit to your implementing frames. if you make the content scrollable, but the header/nav stationary it might be acceptable, but all your doing is moving the scrollbar away from where 99.9%
