ok so you know when you click on a button and theres some kind of animated transition and the section appears, then when you click another button the section animates out and the other animates in? you with me?
Well whats the best way of doing that if all the sections are going to be seperate swf's loaded into a blank mc.
Simple I guess, not my speciality.

look for tutorials... is easy to do. in a couple of hours you will control that variable stuff.
look for variables. they are the basic to understand programming (i thing). the net is plenty of that.

You mean anything like this?
http://www.stimuli.co.uk/fnav/I'm setting up a new nav system for my site - I'd like to know itf there's an easier way too...

jg, thanks, I'm searching and reading now, any recommended tutorials?
stimuli: thats kindof the thing I mean, but I want the loaded swf's to animate out before the new swf is loaded.

build outro's for each swf, that get triggered (frame labels work) by buttons... at end of each outro write conditional statements that determine which swf gets loaded in next: if (variableX == X){
loadMovie....... else if{ so on and so forth.... really very simple, and one of the essences of flash sites....if your not using variables yet, i would recommend starting.

A while back I was looking for good ways to do this too. I found this site with lots of good tutorials on this and more. The source is available to download at the bottom of each page:
Go to: Tutorials --> Flash MX --> Smooth Transitions Between Sections.
