God help me I am struggling with this.
"Hurricane central is a non-microsoft student online project built by students for students. It was built using Microsoft technology - asp, .net, visual studio .net, SQL - and the students would now like to make this community infrastructure available to other students to easily download, install and customise to help foster the growth of other student-led communities e.g. University of Hull Computing Science Club, Bradford Uni Film Society Club etc..."
Constructive comments please!
Scrap and start again? On the right path?

too many borders going on i reckon... why not mathematically choose the colour of the rows and bunch them up... i.e if you have 4 rows in headlines... they go 80%,60%,40%,20% brown etc...
also the home/news/forums links would be better as graphics
I'd probably also but up the photo gallery, and only diplay the maxnifyer as an image swap over the top

start again, yes.
it's all too big, big white borders etc, and make it less boring.
and it needs some editorial here and there, now all the titles are all the same size.

I dunno if I'd just stick some editorial in if it's not working?
