What's with all the hate for Real Player? Works great for me and seems a lot more reliable than shitty Windows Media Player. Is it just shit on PCs? I'm on Mac.
Oh yeah, there is that thing where they try and trick you into buying the supadeluxeextracontent version by hiding the free one but apart from that what's up?

it takes over your machine... nice interface... but to busy trying to make a buck, so pops up annoying ads too.

Is that on PC cos I don't get any of that shite on my Mac?

macs are for 'designers'... eek... not going down that road.

Instead of buy a mac to test on.. I'd probably just buy an older Pc : )

it is slightly easier to find their 'free' player these days.
though about a year ago, you'd click on the link (which was in micro sized text hidden down the bottom of the site), then be taken to the page that advertises its 'premium' player. Then you'd spend the next friggen 10mins trying to work out how to find the damned free player- all just to hear a couple of 10 second samples of a cd you were thinking of buying.
on mac it'd be ace just to have quicktime and flash, thats it, no extra 'real' players or nothing.
on pc- 'real' just add to the already cluttered array of aps required to do this and taht whilst loading into the damn systray.
rah rah rah.

i couldnt stand real player back onj os 9. use to hang up my mac. try to close it or launch something in it at then freeeeeeze. used to take 10 years to close real.
now is os x it has improved with a little better encoding quality. but as far as quality goes, i will stick with quickTime

same thing if you are on an older PC, seems their latest version fixed a bit of that. Although winamp realplayer and WMP still fight over who owns what format on your machine.
