fuck the RIAA, but they already have your money
you'll get more for the collection if you take them to a used CD store, I'm sure.
I've made a point to buy at least one indy CD a week, and I'm writing letters to RIAA affiliated labels with similar artists, explaining how and why they've lost a sale.
