i have a swf file that is being played via the flash player (its not embedded in an html page). within the flash movie is a getURL link that opens up an html page, with a java applet embedded inside of it, using the clients default browser. the page opens up fine, but the java applet won't play. it produces an error "java.lang.ClassNotFoundExceptio...
the address in the browser begins with "file://localhost/Volumes/Macint...
if i eliminate the "/Volumes/MacintoshHD" section of the address everything works fine. also the original link in the flash movie work fine on a pc and in os9.
any suggestions on what is going on and a possible solution?

hmm.
Try testing it off of a web server.
Where do the files reside?

the files all reside on a CD.
