'I'm not going to read the rest of these posts, but I'm DISGUSTED with the "it's illegal so, no sympathy" attitude.'
Grow up.
'Do you neo-facists obey every law? Do you believe your lawmakers are infallible? Is all the software on your computer licensed to you? How about your fonts, mp3s?'
So everyone who thinks illegal drug takers should take what comes to them on the chin is a fascist - wtf? slight over-reaction there. As for software/fonts/mp3 do a search and find a million posts arguing in exactly the same way as this one. And generally i'm pretty happy about the laws in the UK thanks very much - I just wish people would abide by most of them.
NEO-FASCISTS - that's the funniest thing I've ever read on this site.
'Do you ever cross the street, not at an intersection?'
Maybe people do and I reckon they'd feel fucking embarrased if a policeman told them off.
'Do you believe in victimless crimes?'
Kind of open ended, but many would argue the case for soft drugs leading to hard drugs and the inevitable stealing to pay for a habit. Not my opinion and I don't even smoke that shit - that's my decision.
But I can say what I want cos yo aint reading these posts no more.

this has nothing to do with anybody being a nice guy, jesus. the argument is about civil liberties.
Police are now allowed to search you in public without any reason. If you see this as being ok then ok, let the fuckers walk all over you.
- bomy_dick0
i 'm with u nairn..
what is it : an eight of weed ?
crime ??? so these days, we still call weed a crime ??
i guess the police has to proove they can catch someone.. so the easiest fish to catch is u and me... walking with an eight of weed...
if they wanted to raid a rave party somewhere.... they would find kilos of hard drugs... but they don"t even bother to go in.. and numerous other examples like that..
this is plain stupid..
- via0
if a drug enforcement dog smells drugs on you, then they can search you under suspicion.
if there was no dog, and they randomly pulled you aside, then that's wrong.
- Nairn0
I know, I know.. these are all valid points.
I think I feel so bad partly because I know how easy it would've been to avoid.
Especially as I had originally intended getting off at Tottenham Court Road.. but it hurts too much to think about that!
(ps. the spandex shorts thing was a joke... I never wear spandex in public. in private.,.. meh.)
- Abby_Someone0
Wrong! They had a reason. One of their dope sniffing dogs picked up the sent of weed on some stupid ass who was carrying it.
I have no problem with people who smoke pot. I really think it should be decriminalized. Until it is though, being shocked that you were arrested for possessing it will fall on my deaf ears.
Break the law, no matter how stupid you may think it is, go to jail.
Now if we can get this Age of Consent law repealed I can think of a few 13 year olds I like to have some quiet time with...

wtf? the real crime here is the spandex
- exador10
i for one also agree with the notion that 'most' folks of our generation will at some point probably either try pot, or come in contact with it at some point..
this aint the olden days..where it was all 'dope' and afterschool specials warning you about dope pushers..
c'mon folks..
its a little bit of pot..
its a ciggerette with a kick..if ANY of you out there have ever gotten drunk before, but think 'pot' is bad,
i suggest that you grow up a bit..personally, i don't really touch it much anymore..
but i dislike the notion of anyone telling me (or anyone else) that its 'bad'...
like its some kind of bogeyman thing..smoking a joint..will not, i repeat NOT turn you into some kind of social liability, or outcast, or strung out junkie..
it will however get you invited to more party's...
;)

drug enforcement dogs, on a train, during the day, for a small bag of weed. come on, its a bit heavy handed, Im not arguying that he broke the law or not, of coarse he did, but all that for a bag of weed.... public transport is hard enough without having to deal with that shit
- mbr0
I dont' smoke it, but I wish it were legal.
It will be, just let this generation lose power and there will be some changes.
- Mimio0
In my country the current president is commonly known for pulling many a rail of cocaine in his youth. Fucking hypocrites.
- sexypixel0
and the law should not be black and white
- via0
the law should not be black and white?!
dude, sit down and try and imagine if it wasn't. now that's idiotic.
search dogs are not there only to catch the one guy on the subway with a bag. they're there looking for all sorts of other stuff. maybe if the guy behind him had a kilo of coke, they might have deemed that a little more important.
- sexypixel0
"maybe if the guy behind him had a kilo of coke, they might have deemed that a little more important. '
you have just said above that the law is not black and white. and I am sitting down.
- Abby_Someone0
Oh, wait. The guy with a coke should not be arrested. When did become illegal to carry coke. Fuck! I agree with everyone else now! Maybe he was just thirsty. Is a kilo like a liter? Damned metric system.
- vena0
threads like this make me want to reinstate the design-topics-only rule.
- via0
re-read it. imagine if it WASN'T black and white. that would be idiotic.
sorry, "cocaine"... better?
- Abby_Someone0
Design only?
Man this place would get boring with the quickness!
