anyone listen to this guys stuff?
its on public radio. at first i didn't know what to think, but now i look forward to hearing his show every week. really funny. and considering the number of cynics on this webboard, i think most of you would agree.the beverly hills buddhist preacher is my favorite.

Joe Frank is truly amazing. First heard his stuff on KCRW when I moved to California in 1995. Blew me away.
Coolest thing ever - He did a live show! Had Becks band playing behind him... Dancers. Coolest thing ever!
The only thing that sucked about it was the guy in front of me who sneaked in some big, smelly meat sandwich! If i ever find you....

yes...and failed miserably.
whenever i try to explain it, i always make it sound so hoakey (which it sort of is on first listen). people always make some sort of association with reality tv when i mention that he likes to record phone conversations he has with people. you really just have to hear it for yourself a couple of times....preferably at night.
